Creating each illustration for Uniquely Yours Keepsake Books is a journey that begins with a simple idea or sketch. I start by brainstorming the story’s key elements, imagining how the characters, settings, and emotions will come to life on the page.

 

For instance, when designing the hero for a child’s adventure book, I focus on capturing the character’s personality through their expressions and body language. I often experiment with different poses and styles before settling on the final design. The color palette is carefully chosen to match the mood of the story—whether it’s the vibrant hues of a playful scene or the soft tones of a heartfelt moment.

 

Rough drafts play a crucial role in refining these ideas. They allow me to explore various compositions and details before moving on to the final artwork. Through this process, each illustration evolves from a concept to a vivid piece of art that complements and enhances the narrative.
